In October 2006 Magic Bus completed phase one construction of India’s first world-class centre for outdoor experiential learning and sport for development, 75 km from central Mumbai. Just an hour and a half from the city, the 20 acre plot lies in a naturally beautiful and secluded area which features forest, river, open sports fields, and an abundance of flora and fauna. The Magic Bus Centre for Learning & Development has the capacity to offer programmes to well over 10,000 children every year, and has residential capacity for over 100 children each day.

The Centre provides a benchmark for experiential-learning child development programmes in India and is home to the most sophisticated outdoor equipment in the country. It features India’s first international standard challenge course, designed and built for us by Adventure Rope, including a high ropes course, artificial rock climbing tower which includes a rappelling face and a breathtakingly fast zipline. The Centre is also home to a low ropes and a bouldering wall and an obstacle course, the latter specifically designed by our in house team.

The objectives of the Centre are to:

  • offer the highest quality of outdoor development
    learning to children & youth
  • offer a safe and secure environment for children
    to learn and play
  • offer a stimulating environment for capacity building
trainers to deliver the Magic Bus programme and sport
for development, on a large scale To see an ariel view of the Centre, click here
