| Plantation of 5000 trees
commences at the centre..!!
In summer the Magic Bus
land at the Karjat Centre becomes hot and dry due to lack
of trees. We have begun with our plan of planting around 5000
evergreen, flowering & shady trees around the Magic Bus
Centre. Matthew planted the first plant, Thiwetia (whitish
green flower plant), at the Dinning Hall on March 22, 2006.
Being an eco- friendly organisation, organic compost will
be used for trees and we are working closely with Bombay Natural
History Society in the documentation and preserving of ecology
in our area.
Considering the Centre as a children's world, we have chosen
plenty of fruit trees, shady trees and flowering plants to
add colour and beauty to the centre. Mango, Jamun, Tamarind,
Jackfruit, Sita Ashok, Karanj, Neem, Champa, Powder Puff flower,
Madhumalti, Jasmine, Rose, Jaswand are some of the many plants
that will be planted at the centre.
The children coming to our centre will have loads to explore
the flora and fauna in and around the centre during their
s. We hope that with so many different trees, the Magic Bus
Centre will be a veritable green paradise for our children
in the near future.s
