"Visiting Magic Bus
gave the US visitors an
opportunity to understand
that creativity in a child's
world is crucial and universal, strengthening so many aspects of their life and learning potential.”

Staff Training January
Pete Kirkpatrick a volunteer outdoor development expert from the UK trained mentors and assistant mentors in January. His train-the-trainer camp focused on technical skills such as kayaking and adventure activities and techniques for facilitating adventure activity learning experiences. Pete made a huge impact on the whole team and was even roped into running the marathon with us!

New Uniform
We are excited to announce that we now have Magic Bus uniforms which are used at all our sports sessions! Infact Magic Bus even bagged the best costume at the Mumbai Marathon this year. A huge thank you goes to Geeta Suthar who arranged for the canvas bus to be made!

  January Celebrations!!
Magic Bus had a staff day out in January to celebrate the marriages of a number of staff members and to bring the whole programme and administration team together for a day of team building.

Run for the bus…! Marathon January 16th
Magic Bus win best costume award for the marathon!
This year's marathon was a huge success for Magic Bus in terms of our supporters who ran with us, from all over the world and in terms of funds raised. Ha Chan from Bloomberg flew in from Hong Kong for the race and was the highest pledge raiser in the marathon and generously chose Magic Bus to support! AFL and Deloitte put in teams who raised funds and came and ran with the children on the day. Our celebrity supporters included Tara Sharma, Mandira Bedi and Parveen Dabas and most importantly over 60 Magic Bus children ran the 7 km race. A big thank you to all who participated and ran for the bus!

Global Fund for Children March 24th
Global Fund for Children have been a funding partner of Magic Bus for 3 years and we were delighted to welcome their team together with board members and children on the programme. 40 children from Mobile Crèches went on a day trip to a garden near Karjat. The 7-9 yr olds were thrilled to see a swimming pool for the first time and the parachute game was a big hit with the children and our US visitors. The team also visited the Magic Bus centre and saw how the construction was coming on.
