		Magic Bus at Amaya December 2004 www.realindianfood.com December saw the launch of the first Magic Bus restaurant tie up. Amaya in London generously offered Magic Bus a platform to raise funds through their diners for the month of December where an optional £1 was added to every sumptuous meal. The tie-up was a great success and we will be launching further offers in Indian restaurants in the near future …. watch this space…

			Magic Bus Diwali Dinner 6 November 2004 This year’s Diwali Dinner was held at the Four Season’s Hotel in London and was a dazzling affair. The rooms were bedecked in red and gold with hundred of diyas to light up the evening. Guests supped on wine donated by Hrish Nathwani, Cobra provided by Karan Bilamoria and soft drinks provided by Alfie Lyndon. Alexandra Spacie supplied the canapes and after a delicious dinner Lee Thompson Gale provided the coffee and Green & Black’s donated the chocolates. Mira Veda, Affe Adel, and The Twilight Players entertained everyone with powerful music and wild dancing and the auction taken by Christie’s auctioneer Tash Perrin saw ferocious bidding for lots as diverse as a Cox & Kings Rajastan Palace Tour, membership of Quintessentially and Martin Johnson’s rugby shorts from the world cup win! 		Sponsored Cycle Ride February 2004 UK volunteer Murray Douglas organised a sponsored cycle ride to raise funds for Magic Bus and one of our partner organisations Akanksha. 30 Cyclists braved the cold to complete 33 miles through the Cotswolds countryside. A big thank you to all involved and to KINOE for their support.

			Magic Bus Gala Dinner September 2003 The newly formed Magic Bus UK board held a gala dinner in Christie's Auction Rooms to launch the UK Magic Bus funding arm and premier the Magic Bus promotional film. The powerful film made and sponsored by director Mahesh Mathai left a lasting impression on the audience and certainly persuaded bidders to dig deep when auctioneer Alex Meddowes, former

		Chairman of Christie’s Scotland took an electric auction. Outstanding prices were bid for items as diverse as a Natural Mystic Adventure Travels holiday in Rajasthan, designer clothes by Monisha Jaising, tickets or the World Cup Rugby in Australia and photographs by Sheena Sippy to mention but a few. The evening was sponsored by Cobra Beer, Bagri Foundation, Aman Resorts, The Body Shop, Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd., Weber Shandwick Worldwide and Air India and special thanks go to all who donated items for the auction including: Ketaki Seth, Swapan Parekh, Payal Jain, Nandi Mariwala, Sherina Dalamal, Sam Roddick, Sooni Taraporavala, the International RFU, Johnny Karbetzer and Ed Milbank.
