Bernard Horn - Chairman
Bernard Horn had a varied career in Financial Services spanning 30 years, including six years as a Main Board Director of the NatWest Group (FTSE 100 company). His roles included five years as Chief Executive of the International Businesses, and a similar period as Operations Director, responsible for Operations and IT. He led significant acquisition and disposal activity whilst with the bank.
He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
Since leaving NatWest he has developed a portfolio of activities acting both as Chairman and non executive director, concentrating on smaller, entrepreneurial companies in consulting and software development, (some with Private Equity backing). He is also involved with a number of pro bono activities.
Bernard is married with three young children and lives in Hampshire.
He visited Magic Bus in May last year with his 14 year old son Charles. They participated in the programmes and also spent some time at the Centre.

Nisha Paul - Member
Nisha Paul is married to The Hon. Akash Paul and lives in London with her two children Arush and Ashma. Nisha is on the Advisory Board of Verve magazine, a highly respected international magazine focussed on India, and writes exclusively for them, interviewing highly important personalities from the business and entertainment world. Nisha has extensive experience of the non-profit sector having served on the main board of the international development organisation VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) and worked with Lady Cairns raising considerable funds for their Indian Appeal. Nisha has also supported Sarah Brown with her charity, One Parent Families. She travels extensively between London and Mumbai.

Mark Spears joined the UK Board of Magic Bus in March 2007 after providing 12 months volunteer support to the fundraising activities of the charity.
Mark is a partner with KPMG where he is the UK head of People and Change advisory services which focuses on providing HR and change management support to organisations going through significant transformation programmes. He has over 20 years of business experience predominantly in people management and has lived and worked in the US and Australia as well as long term assignments in Africa and Asia.
Mark lives near Cambridge and is married with 2 children aged 17 and 12. |
