Position: Centre Head
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer
Magic Bus is a non- government organisation which promotes children’s right to play through a developmental program using sports and outdoor adventure as a platform to reach the most marginalised and at risk children and Youth.
The Magic Bus Learning and Development Centre in Karjat is one of India’s leading development centres. Approximately one and a half hours from central Mumbai the centre sits on over 20 acres of land. In addition to marginalised children it also has a facility to accommodate corporations and private schools to earn additional revenues to sustain itself. The Centre Head will be responsible for all operations at the centre, responsible for managing all facilities staff and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer
The candidate should have a hospitality related Masters qualification with a minimum of 5 years experience. The candidate should have experience in the core functions of running a hospitality or learning institute that include Finance, Operations, Human Resources and Sales and Marketing. Key Responsibilities
Staff
- Develop and maintain high moral of all the staff and ensure an environment which is ethically aligned to the values of the organisation.
- Create opportunities of personal development for staff in align to organisation development.
- Provide daily and weekly reports and communicate to personnel about pertinent information and centre policies.
- Supervise and evaluate all facility staff.
- Maintain records of staff and facilities.
Operations
- Achieving overall occupancy rates given by the Chief Operating Officer
- Scheduling of all group bookings, and overseeing the booking system
- Scheduling of all resources efficiently
Programme
- Correct resource allocation of centre staff for each programme
- Overnight supervision when necessary
- Define and monitor crisis management plan, including emergency procedures.
Food and Hospitality
- Ensure the kitchens are run efficiently
- Cost controls on all purchase of food and hospitality
- Ensure the centre is continually kept clean and safe as per guidelines established
Relationship Management
- Ensuring good relationships with the local communities and key community stakeholders
- Ensure good relationships with all visitors to the centre
- Accompany or conduct where appropriate meetings with potential and existing new partners and clients at the centre
- Manage local centre events.
Financial / Governance Management
- Supervise centre finances and manage profit and loss account
- Assist Chief Operating Officer in strategic planning.
- Present financial results
- Facilitate preparation of annual budget resource planning, and allocation of all resources for the centre to meet annual objectives.
- Putting cost control, MIS reports
- All legal permissions for construction
- All legal documents for purchase of assets including land
Construction of Phase 2
- Liaise with Project Manager, Site Manager to ensure project plans/times adhered to
- Liaise with architect and construction company when required
- Manage all timelines for projects
- Sign of all completed work
- Budget control of ongoing activities
Tenure:
Full time position.
Remuneration:
Salary will be best in industry. Offers will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
