As an organisation that believes in the power of sport to change lives, Magic Bus uses sporting events as a platform to raise funds for our work. Across the globe we have had volunteers take part in a variety of sporting initiatives from marathons in New York, London and Mumbai to people cycling the Argus in South Africa, swimming in the Thames in London and cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats.

The Mumbai Marathon is a huge event for us, not only for raising funds but also gathering our staff, volunteers and children together for an annual get together. But don’t be put off! there are alternatives to the full marathon: you can also enter a half marathon or 7km Dream Run.
Over the years companies such as Barclays, Cleartrip, Lehman Brothers, Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank, Rabobank, Jet Airways, Edelweiss and AFL have all entered corporate teams into the event and raised significant funds for us. Hundreds of individuals have also taken to the streets to run for the bus.
The Mumbai Marathon on 18th January 2009 was a great success for us thanks to Nomura, Bloomberg, Barclays and Mecklai Financial who all raised funds.

Challenge events
You might want to consider an adventure with a fundraising mission by visiting our partner organisation Voyage Concepts. How about going dog sledding in the arctic, a two-week ski to the North Pole or travelling by bike through the beautiful countryside between Mumbai and Goa?
