| Anwar - scaling heights
"I want to see my children where I am today"
is Anwar's dream. Anwar has come a long way since being a
care taker of the grounds. His keen interest in sport along
with a determination, has made him a role model for the 240
children that he mentors today along with his team. He has
moved leaps and bound with the rugby programme initially started
by Matthew Spacie and is today very proudly standing tall
being a part of the State Rugby team. Anwar was part of the
Maharashtra Rugby team and won his first gold, in the 33rd
National Games, Guwahati 2007. Anwar has also successfully
passed his HSC exams this year. He also coaches rugby to under
19 children and is a secretary for the Mumbai Magicians Rugby
Association, an initiative started by Vijay Dange, another
enterprising youth who is a part of Magic Bus.
With so many medals of achievement, with a proud smile, he
says "Today I can stand tall anywhere in any environment
and win hearts with my confidence and ability."
